the partners came and we had a mini join board meeting. and it was good,. we knew more about our universities. i was kinda hoping that Jackie would come. she is a very nice lady whom i am eager to meet again. but this Richard guy came. but it was okay. he is extremely nice and informative too. =D

he confirmed that we can cycle in the campus!!!whopededuuuu!

but something funny happened. we were talking about sports, and other related questions regarding sports facilities over there. the kiwis are not so hyped up about things we usually play here, but are crazy over rugby and the all blacks, netball and cricket. and i don't play any of them!

but the comedy happened when Fatin who was over with the topic and started to ask about foods over there. Richard frowned and asked her again to confirm what was the question again. i thought in my head 'is he seriously xpenah dengar of food? NZ panggil foods ape?'

so me, without thinking much, said 'foods? the things that we eat, sir?' along with the gesture of putting something in the mouth. rupanya he thought we were still talking about sports and wondered what sport is 'food'. dia igt its a sport in he never heard of sebab xminat..hahaha. tapi food is also a sport. to me. hahaha

more communication breakdowns happened not only to me but also to my friends in other universities. blame it for the difference of cultures. but that makes me more eager to step in the kiwi land and experience the differences myself. i cant wait to embrace them all =D
